Research and mapping tool
Lately, I’ve been thinking about larger cultural trends - digital fatigue, ice baths, Labubu dolls, algorithm anxiety.
At first glance, these concepts don't always connect. But when you map them out, you start seeing the larger pattern: people navigating overwhelm in different ways. Ice baths through physical intensity. Labubu dolls through the comfort of collecting something cute and tangible when everything else feels chaotic. Digital detoxes through intentional disconnection.
In some way, these are all responses to underlying cultural tension around control, presence, and meaning-making in an accelerated world. For marketers, understanding these connections reveals opportunities for positioning, audience motivation and strategic direction for everything from content strategy to key messaging and web design choices.
I'm experimenting with building “Field Guide” to help map and explore these cultural connections. It's as hands-on or automated as you want - drag in PDFs, add your own observations, let AI suggest patterns or develop your own insights.
